Our top energy saving tips to help you get through this winter the best you can.

Say no to standby!
This is an old one that we all know but we still do it, households across the UK waste around £227 million every year just by leaving our appliances such as TV’s and phone chargers on standby. Get into the habit of turning you appliances off and you could save money all year round not just this winter!

Only use it when you need it.
Combi boilers are a fantastic example of this, they only heat up the water you need when you need it. No more hot water tanks in airing cupboards next to the bathroom, it’s a space saver as well as an energy saver.
Another great way to save energy when you don’t need it is with your thermostat. Set your heating to come on 10 minutes before you get up and then off again just before you go to bed, that way you aren't wasting heat and energy while you’re cosy under the covers.

Get insulated.
This is a good one all year round! Not only does it keep the colder air out during the winter months and stop a huge waste of heat energy, but it can also help to keep your house cooler in the summer months as well. Bonus.
